US OF TENNIS is very excited to host UTR match play and tournaments on-site at the Thurgoona Tennis Club:
- Open to all ages, genders and levels
- On-court coaching during play
- Fortnightly match play and tournaments
More locations in the Albury and the Greater Hume Shire areas will be announced in 2022.

Who has a UTR Rating?
- Any tennis player whether recreational, junior, high school, university/college or professional, can have a UTR Rating
- It’s free and allows you to track your true skill levels and progress with other players regardless of age, gender, level and location
- A UTR Rating is a stepping stone on your path to a US college scholarship as more colleges include this as part of their recruitment. Similar to ATAR/SAT/ACT for your academic fit, a UTR Rating is one of the pieces in your tennis fit.
What is UTR?
Universal Tennis Rating (UTR) is a global system by Universal Tennis that rates every tennis player on a 1 to 16.5 point scale – it’s a number not a ranking.
It’s also level-based play and not about gender or age – promoting fun, fair and competitive play across the tennis world.
Beginners start at 1 and top 10 ATP and WTP players are around the 15+ and 13+ mark respectively.
How you perform in each and every game counts. The algorithm calculates based on your performance against the strength of the competition and the number of games won, regardless of whether you win or lose the match.

- You must register before the scheduled event for your scores to be counted
- Full court play
- Must know how to score
- US OF TENNIS will endeavour to post scores within 24-48 hours after the event has ended

- Step 1: Click the register now button to take you to the US OF TENNIS Universal Tennis registration page
- Step 2: Ensure your opponent / friend registers for the same UTR Match Play Event – if they don’t, your score will not count to your UTR
